Celebrating a New Academic Connection: Our Project Joins the ENAS Network

We’re delighted to announce that our valued colleague, Boglárka-Angela Farkas from Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, has been awarded a one-year membership grant by the European Network of Aging Studies (ENAS). This grant is especially meaningful as it will be valid through the completion of our project, running until December 31, 2026.

ENAS is a dynamic, interdisciplinary platform that encourages critical reflection on how we experience age and aging. It brings together scholars from the humanities and social sciences to explore the cultural, theoretical, and policy dimensions of aging. The network is equally committed to supporting early-career researchers and fostering collaborative academic exchange.

We believe this opportunity will not only support Boglárkas individual academic journey but also benefit our wider team, opening doors to networking, joint publications, and fresh interdisciplinary dialogue.

We’re genuinely happy to have our project represented in such a respected academic network. Congratulations to Boglárka-Angela – we’re excited about what lies ahead!

AGE-C contributes towards the creation of a European research space by bringing together an international team of researchers whose expertise covers an important share of the EU’s and its neighbors’ territory. Together we conduct and empirical study of how filmmakers and audiences view and interpret issues of old age and gender in European cinema. Our research helps us better understand the current state of European cinema and has further implications for health care and cultural policy
