29th SERCIA Conference in collaboration with the AGE-C Research Project

3-5 September 2025, Faculty of Theatre and Film, Babeș-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca, Romania

We are pleased to announce the 29th edition of the SERCIA Conference, organized in partnership with the AGE-C Research Project. This year’s conference will focus on age and ageing in Anglophone and European cinema(s), and will bring together scholars, researchers, and practitioners from across Europe and beyond.

The event will take place from 3 to 5 September 2025 at the Faculty of Theatre and Film, Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca, Romania.

We warmly invite you to join us in exploring how cinema reflects, shapes, and challenges cultural understandings of ageing and later life.
